Bipasha Basu has been signed to essay the main role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s next film ‘Corporate’.
‘Corporate’ is the second movie in Bhandarkar’s planned trilogy after his Page 3 which was an exposé of the elite. The movie would bring forth the often-unseen realities of the corporate business world, its manipulations, its shady deals and its strengths too.
Earlier, Madhur Bhandarkar had approached Aishwarya Rai to play the female lead of an ambitious entrepreneur in the film. However, the actress had date problems and couldn’t be part of the project.
Now, Bhandarkar has signed Bipasha Basu to play the role.
Speaking about the movie, Bipasha said she was completely bowled over by its script and screenplay.
Bhandarkar believes that the role of an ambitious entrepreneur suits Bipasha perfectly because she has the right mix of glamour and intelligence.
Shooting for the movie is likely to begin next month. The film will be produced by Sahara Percept.
