Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has had seven releases so far in this year. And the coming three months will see the release of his three more films.
The year began on a thumping note for Bachchan when he enthralled many with his performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black . Then followed the inconsequential Waqt – A Race Against Time .
Bunty Aur Babli saw Bachchan in an altogether different avatar of a cool-headed bidi smoking UP cop. Viruddh , on the other hand, had him playing a very serious role. And Sarkar brought forth his searing intensity in a role that was punctuated with heavy silences in between dialogues.
Then there have been Big B cameo appearances in Shah Rukh Khan’s Paheli and Madhavan’s Ramji Londonwaley recently.
And now the coming three months will see release of three Bachchan starrers. On the anvil is Romesh Sharma’s Dil Jo Bhi Kahey that stars Romesh’s own son Karan Sharma. Karan plays Bachchan’s foreign-returned son in the movie.
Bachchan says he did Dil Jo Bhi Kahey because Romesh Sharma is a family friend and he could not have said no to him.
The month of November will see the release of Bachchan’s Ek Ajnabee while his much awaited Family – Ties Of Blood will hit the marquee in mid-December.
