In a time of period films, attempts have been made in the past to make a film on ‘Mahabharat’, the second most sacred epic of Hindus. Another attempt is in the pipeline.
Reports are that Rituparmo Ghosh thought of making a movie on the character of Draupadi some three years ago but didn't succeed. However, Ghosh seems to be to be determined to fulfill his cherished desire of doing a movie on 'Draupadi' the central character in Mahabharat.
Unluckily, Ghosh’s choice to play the historical character fell on Bipasha Basu who declined it.
Then, Ghosh approached the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai to play Draupadi. According to reliable reports, Ash is unavailable too.
Reports add that it may be difficult for Bipasha to play Draupadi because of her bold and sexy image, and Ash may be too busy in her international projects.
And now Ghosh has approached Sushmita Sen for the coveted role. Sushmita, whose last release was Maine Pyar Kyon Kiya , has still not given her consent for the role.
Hopefully, Ghosh will succeed in satisfying Sushmita as well as the public by directing a long-awaited movie on 'Draupadi'.
