And it is not surprising to know that her daughter Esha Deol will play one of the female leads in the movie. Hema’s previous directorial venture Dil Ashna Hai, starring Shah Rukh Khan , had an average run at the marquee. And now the ‘dream girl’ of yore is ready to direct another movie. 
The movie will tell the story of two women, mother-daughter, and will revolve around the cultural conflict between them based on classical music. It may be mentioned that Hema herself has quite know-how of classical music and is a trained classical dancer as well. Actress Rekha will play the role of the classical singer in the movie. Esha Deol will play her daughter. “It's a very different story about the relationship that grows between two women from different generations,” a report quotes Hema as saying. The story is written by Vandana Mukhopadhyay. Hema says Rekha and Esha are perfect for the said roles in the film, and she is looking forward to sign in Abhishek Bachchan as Esha’s co-star. Abhishek will play “a modern guy with classical temperament.” Hema is hoping to start the movie by this year-end or early next year. Currently, she is busy with Ravi Chopra's Babul , in which she pairs with Amitabh Bachchan yet again.
