HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Hrithik disappointed at not being in remake of 'Don' 13th Sept 2005  13.29 IST By Agencies   All know that Farhan Akhtar is remaking the 1970s hit Don , which starred Amitabh Bachchan , Zeenat Aman and Pran . It is also known that Farhan has finalized Shah Rukh Khan , Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles. But not all know that the role of Don in the remake was written with Hrithik Roshan in mind. Yes, Hrithik himself said this in an interview to a leading daily. When asked about whether he was disappointed about not doing the remake, Hrithik replied, " I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. Farhan had thought of me. I had lived with the idea. Then as he was writing the script, he felt I didn't suit character.” Hrithik adds, “I have tremendous faith in Farhan as an individual and as a director. I'm glad he didn't compromise on his vision just because he had made a commitment to me. One must do films for the right reasons." Hrithik, who starred in Farhan’s Lakshya , is doing Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar's movie. Apart from that, Hrithik is also working in the sequels of Koi Mil Gaya , Dhoom and the period drama directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar titled 'Akbar Jodha' opposite Aishwarya Rai .
