Not that her acting fee is beyond what many Bollywood producers can afford. Still, working with Nigar Khan is proving to be quite expensive for some.
Ever since this Norwegian beauty was deported from India on visa violations earlier this year, some filmmakers in whose films Nigar was working has had no option but to shoot the remaining portions of their movies outside India.
It is learnt that Sawant has suffered a loss of Rs.1.5 crore because he has to shoot the rest of his movie in Bangkok as Nigar is banned from working in India.
“I am paying huge interest to the financers as there has been a five-month delay,” Sawant is quoted as saying.
In fact, Sawant seems to have learnt his lesson. He had previously signed Nigar for his next movie ‘Hot Money’ too. But now he is looking for another actress.
Another movie that has suffered because of Nigar’s ban on working in India is Do Chehra. The movie has already overshot its estimated budget of Rs 3 crore by Rs 70 lakh as the movie had to be shot in London.
Well, Nigar is certainly proving expensive to work with.
