When Mallika Sherawat kissed Jackie Chan

You will be surprised to know that there is no kissing scene between Bollywood sex-kitten Mallika Sherawat and international martial arts superhero Jackie Chan in the forthcoming film ‘The Myth’. But Mallika made up for that.

Mallika isn’t the one who would let an opportunity go as far as kissing Chan is concerned.

Mallika was recently in Singapore to promote the film, which opens there on September 23. She asked permission from press photographers before planting a wet one on co-star Chan's cheeks at a press conference on Sunday.

"It was something I just had to do," said Mallika, gushing with excitement.

"When I went back to India after shooting ‘The Myth’, everyone asked me whether I got to kiss the legendary Jackie Chan. It was unfortunate that there was no kissing scene in the film. But now, I have made up for it. Kissing Jackie was fantastic."

"Not only did I get to learn from the likes of Jackie Chan and Tong, I was also exposed to the works of Chinese directors such as Wong Kar Wai and Zhang Yimou. I hope I will be able to play roles in their films someday," Mallika said.

Is she worried that her flesh-parading ways will limit her to sexpot roles?

"I did expose a lot early on — I am honest enough to admit that. But now, I have entered the second phase of my career. I am in the position to choose my roles more carefully and prove my versatility as an actress.

"But, of course, this doesn't mean that I'll stop giving audiences what they want. I've a great body, so why shouldn't I show it? After all, I slog three hours in the gym every day to achieve what you see," she said.

Mallika added that she would never stop acting in Bollywood films. "It's my bread and butter. I love dancing around trees and the melodramatic scenes too much."
