Bollywood sex kitten Mallika Sherawat has been hogging the limelight for last few weeks following the premiere of her first International movie The Myth with Jackie Chan .

No matter how much some people criticize this leggy lass from Bollywood for using her sex appeal and her sylph-like figure to climb up the ladder to success, the truth remains that Mallika Sherawat has come a long way from a sleepy Haryana town to the famed film festivals of Cannes and Toronto.

It is no small feat to get a big break with the most renowned martial arts hero, Jackie Chan. When director Stanley Tong was scouting for an Indian actress to play the role of a girl named Samantha in ‘The Myth’, he found his heroine the moment he set his eyes on Mallika.

In the movie, Mallika plays Samantha, an ancient Indian princess and Jackie Chan’s other love interest. Jackie Chan plays two roles – an Indiana Jones type archeologist and a Qin Dynasty (3rd Century B.C.) general.

Mallika’s character Samantha rescues Jackie’s character, Jack, when he falls unconscious into a river after being chased by a group of angry believers of a holy Indian temple he had broken into.

Mallika helps Jackie in unlocking the secrets that could transport him back in time to his past as a Qin Dynasty general who is in love with a Korean princess (Kim Hee-seon).

The film also has a scene in which the busty Sherawat girl bared it all to Chan. Of course, the camera captured Mallika’s bareback only, but the “manly” Jackie Chan kept his eyes open when her blouse came off.

Mallika says ‘The Myth’ has been the most difficult and challenging film of her career.

“It was very tough. I cried, I howled and I complained but it was all worth it. I mean, the opportunity to work with Jackie Chan and Stanley Tong... what more could I ask for?” Mallika is quoted as saying.

As of now, Mallika is off to Hong Kong for the premiere of ‘The Myth’. She would be wearing a special outfit designed by designer Anita Dongre.

And on Sunday, Mallika will be seen on CNN giving an exclusive interview to Lorraine Hahn on the channel’s ‘Talk Asia’ show. In the interview, Mallika talks about working in ‘The Myth’ and her struggle from an anonymous Haryana girl to Bollywood sex bomb.

‘The Myth’ will release in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia on September 23 and later in other Asian countries.
