Don’t write off Manisha Koirala yet!

We may not have seen much of her on the big screen of late. But Manisha Koirala is back in the thick of work, acting in some important movies.

While many new starlets and semi-clad bimbos have taken the lead over Manisha, the Nepalese beauty is simply concentrating on offers that provide her with challenging roles.

Manisha admits that she has become very selective in signing films as she is looking for good scripts only.

And it appear that many plum roles have come her way, in spite of her rare releases on the big screen.

Manisha already has two films with Ram Gopal Varma and one with Rituparno Ghosh .

And in the last few days, the beautiful actress is learnt to have signed two more projects – Jai Prakash’s Ganga and south director Ajay Kumar’s Tulsi.

Tulsi will have Manisha playing the mother of three children and wife of an ailing husband. The film tells the story of how she raises her children after her husband’s death. Tulsi has Irfaan Khan as Manisha’s co-star.

In Jai Prakash’s Ganga too, Manisha plays the title role. This is Manisha’s third film with Prakash after Market and Chaahat.

Rituparno Ghosh’s Bengali film Khela will have Manisha pairing with Prosenjit. Manisha plays his wife in the film. The movie also stars Raima Sen .

Speaking about her selective approach in choosing movies, Manisha told a website: “Yes, I am looking for good scripts. This time, I am being very particular about the films I do.”
