Bollywood meets Hollywood with 'Karma Confession and Holy' 05th Oct 2005

It is being touted as a project that marks the coming together of artists from two of the world’s popular movie producing industries – Bollywood and Hollywood.
Titled ‘Karma Confession and Holy’, the movie will star Hindi film industry’s Sushmita Sen and Randeep Hooda in the main roles. Hollywood’s Drena De Niro also plays a no less important role in the film, being directed by New York-based Indian filmmaker Manish Gupta.
Gupta has previously made the comedy ‘Indian Fish In American Waters’. His ‘Karma Confession and Holy’ is being promoted as a global movie particularly intended for the Indians who were either born in the US or migrated there.
‘Karma Confession…’ will feature some famous Hollywood artistes. Renowned Hollywood stylist Lysa Cooper will do Sushmita and Drena’s look in the film.
Another known name in the movie’s credits is Lisa Lene as the director of photography. Lisa has been an assistant to the famous director Stanley Kubrick.
It is learnt that more artistes from Hollywood will be roped in for the movie.
‘Karma…’ will have Sushmita and Randeep playing a young Indian couple in the US. Singer-actor Suchitra Krishnamurthy plays a sari-clad Indian woman married to an American. Senior actors Suresh Oberoi and Rati Agnihotri play older Indian couple.
Shooting for ‘Karma Confession & Holy’ begins in the US this month.
