HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Mohit Ahlawat still Varma’s 'blue-eyed boy' 06th Oct 2005  19.45 IST By Nikhil Kumar   Despite the debacle of his debut film James , Mohit Ahlawat still seems to have the confidence of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma . Varma is not shutting out his ‘blue-eyed boy’ whom he calls the ‘star material’. Varma is also not admitting that ‘James’ has been the biggest RGV disaster till date. Varma alleges that the movie has done well down south and at some single theatres in Mumbai. With his confidence still firmly intact in Mohit, Varma has signed the good-looking guy for a number of his projects. The most important one – as we have already reported – is the remake of classic Sholay in which Mohit plays Jai, played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. Besides this one, Mohit will play a double role in Varma-produced ‘King’. And now, the latest reports say that Mohit has been signed for yet another RGV film tentatively titled Shankar. ‘Shankar’ will be directed by ‘James’ cinematographer Amal Neerad. The film will have Mohit in an action packed role. ‘Shankar’ will be launched next month for a start-to-finish shooting schedule. Related James Mohit Ahlawat Ram Gopal Varma Sholay
