At the age when many stars get cold feet while doing anything physically straining, Mr. Bachchan seems to be brimming with vim and vigour typical of youth. 
And though some may find it hard to believe, Mr. Bachchan recently did some daredevil stunts in his forthcoming movie Ek Ajnabee . No duplicate or special effects was used. It was Bachchan versus the danger. Of course, Bachchan emerged triumphant. The movie’s director Apoorva Lakhia told the senior scribe S.K. Jha: “Bachchan did all the action scenes in my film 'Ek Ajnabee' on his own... no body double, no short cuts, just the actor and the danger zone, which he adopted unhesitatingly.” Lakhia added that Bachchan even refused to let anyone else do the action for him. This is very characteristic of the superstar who began doing his action scenes with the angry man’s role in Zanjeer and was seriously injured shooting for a fight sequence for the movie Coolie. And now when the superstar turns 63 years of age on October 11, his energy, enthusiasm and vigour is unabated. Perhaps that is why they say that youth is more a state of mind than a state of body.
