It is an unnerving experience for a newcomer to be pitched opposite the likes of known stars like John Abraham and Akshay Kumar in the very first movie. But Daisy Bopanna, one of the three new girls in 'Garam Masala', took things in her stride. 
And guess what? Daisy's first scene in the movie was a kiss with John Abraham. In an interview, Daisy has admitted she was nervous before the shot. But then John approached her and told her he too was a bit shy about kissing her. This broke the ice between the two and Daisy gave her first shot, a fortunate peck on the cheek by the handsome Abraham, with relative ease. In the film, Daisy plays an airhostess with whom Akshay tries to flirt. Akshay plays a womanizer who goes around with three girls at the same time without letting one know about the other. Daisy's character is a gullible, innocent girl with a chic and glossy look. Daisy is all praise for her co-stars in the film. She says she found Akshay a very compatible actor who helped her with many acting tips. She says she found John to be a casual and friendly guy without any shenanigans of a star. "One thing I really liked about John is that he is such a big star, and yet he does not behave like one. He is so casual and approachable that you can talk to him as a friend," Daisy is quoted as saying. About Akshay, Daisy says: "He (Akki) would always help me in terms of dialogue delivery by saying this expression would be better. He would always give suggestions." And most of all, Daisy is thankful to Priyadarshan for giving her "the big break". 'Garam Masala' is slated to hit the theatres around Diwali time.
