It is a role that was immortalized by the stunningly beautiful actress Madhubala in K. Asif’s Mughal-e-Azam. Now, Celina Jaitley will play Anarkali in the modern remake of the film.
In spite of having acted in a good number of films, Celina still has to make her mark as an actress. She showed improved histrionics in Silsiilay and a comic flair in No Entry . But now she has got the mother of all roles.
As learnt, Celina will play Anarkali in the remake of Mughal-e-Azam . It is still not known which actor will play the role of prince Salim.
But Celina has already begun preparations for her role. According to her the most difficult part of the role is “to recreate the character from the past in today’s time and date.”
Celina has three movies coming up this year – ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’, Zinda and Jawani Diwani .
