HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD The image makeover of Payal Rohatgi15th Oct 2005 19.51 IST By Agencies The hot, sexy and sizzling Payal Rohatgi claims that after seeing her in the forthcoming film ‘Corporate’, people will start noticing her as a real actress and not just as an item girl. Payal, who has been lying low after series of flops, is happy to get even this blink-and-you-miss appearance in the Madhur Bhandarkar film, where she plays an actress known for her item songs. 
‘Corporate’ stars the sultry Bipasha Basu in the lead role and also stars Minissha Lamba , Kay Kay Menon and Samir Dattani. "After all, it is much better to do a cameo in prestigious film than a full-length role in a sleazy flick, which nobody likes to see," Payal insists and adds, "I always wanted to work with him. He is a marvellous filmmaker and I can’t wait to start. When I learnt that he is coming up with ‘Corporate’, I expressed a desire to work with him.” So what made Bhandarkar cast Payal in spite of her poor track record as a leading lady? “The girl has style and oomph, which is required for the character," he tells. "I haven't seen any her film but I've seen a few dance numbers on television, and a few promos. I didn't give her a lengthy role, but she’ll have her moments in the film.” These few encouraging words from her director gives Payal a lot of confidence who's trying hard to break free from her past. "I want to forget my past films. After my bold avatar it is time to take logical step and start working with big filmmakers. Now, I want to be noticed as a real actress and not just as an item girl,” Payal gushes.
