After showing actor Randeep Hooda the door from his camp, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has cast his blue-eyed boy Mohit Ahlawat for a movie that was originally meant for Randeep.
There is something about Mohit that puts him in Varma’s good books. The young actor has placed his full trust in the filmmaker’s judgment and abilities. Randeep, the D actor, on the other hand, had creative differences with Varma, and was therefore shown the door.
Mohit is so much committed to Varma that he recently turned down a movie offer from award winning filmmaker Shyam Benegal . He has, in the past, refused offers from Subhash Ghai too. Mohit says he wants to do films with Varma only.
And Varma, on his part, seems to be rewarding the young actor with project after project. Mohit is already doing four RGV films and now he has been roped in to replace Randeep for Varma’s production ‘Shock’, which is to be directed by Jijy Philips, the director of My Wife's Murder .
Before the shooting of ‘Shock’ begins, Mohit will star in Varma’s James remake titled ‘Shiv’.
Varma had previously stated that Mohit is a “star material”. And it seems that the filmmaker has set his mind to prove it.
