HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Amitabh, Abhishek in film on global terrorism24th Oct 2005 21.40 IST By Aparajita Ghosh Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan – the celebrated father-son duo – will act together in a film on global terrorism. Big plans are afoot for a $20 million (Rs 100 crore) celluloid venture that will rake up the issue of international terrorism on the big screen. The movie is Ram Gopal Varma ’s ambitious project Ek that was shelved previously. 
But now, the Mumbai-based Percept Picture Company has announced its plan to produce the film. Ramu will direct the movie himself. The movie will be a multi-starrer with Ramu’s current favorites Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan spearheading the cast. Manas Malhotra, the marketing manager of Percept Picture Company, confirmed this in a press conference: “Ek will happen at the end of next year and will be on global terrorism. We are looking at a budget of $20 million and I believe Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan have already been signed for the movie.” The two Bachchans have already acted in Ramu’s Sarkar and will come together again in the filmmaker’s modern-day version of the classic Sholay .
