HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Amitabh Bachchan hospitalised28th Nov 2005 14.25 IST By Agencies Mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to the Escorts hospital in New Delhi on Monday, after he complained of abdominal pain. Bachchan, 63, was brought to the hospital in the morning and was undergoing treatment, said hospital sources. 
His condition was not serious, they said. The problem seems to be minor gastric trouble, which caused the pain. Although doctors say that everything is normal with Bachchan, they are still performing some precautionary tests just to make sure of any complications. According to reports, Bachchan senior celebrated his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s birthday yesterday. Adding to the festive mood, the Bachchans were to go to Haridwar to attend a family wedding but their plans got delayed due to this incident. Doctors want to test Bachchan so that he has no difficulties enjoying the celebration in Haridwar. Along with Amar Singh, wife Jaya Bachchan , son Abhishek Bachchan , daughter Shweta Nanda and son-in-law Nikhil Nanda were also present at the hospital by Bachchan’s side.
