Fans go crazy over Mahima!

Actress Mahima Chaudhary recently faced the frenzy of her fans during the promotion of her film.

The incident happened last weekend in Bhiwandi (close to Pune) where Mahima had gone to promote her movie, ‘The Film’, at a theatre. Accompanying her was co-star Vaibhav Jhalani and producer Junaid Menon.

The trio stayed inside the theatre in Bhiwandi for some time while the movie was being screened. But when they came out to leave, they faced thousands of people who had gathered to see Mahima. Some people in the crowd starting shouting – Nahin jaane denge (Won’t let you go).

It is learnt that a few fans even rushed towards Mahima and touched her. Before the whole crowd could go crazy, Vaibhav and Junaid (the actor and producer) shielded her and the trio rushed to their car.

But the mob frenzy was not to abate. The overexcited, unruly fans gathered around the car and one of them even broke the rear windshield with a stone. A few policemen, who were at the spot, swung into action and made way for the car to move.

With the glass splinters strewn on their seats, the trio drove off.

The mood in the automobile was somber on the way back. After some time, Vaibhav cheered everyone by taking their pictures.

Mid-Day quotes Mahima as saying that the incident was a “horrible” experience for her. She has vowed to never go into such areas again.
