Aamir Khan will show his flair for comedy in a film to be directed by Mani Ratnam.
Reports have it that Bobby Bedi, the producer of Mangal Pandey The Rising, has signed Aamir to play the lead role in a comedy film that is yet to be titled.
Aamir’s heroine in the movie hasn’t been finalized yet.
While Bobby Bedi is not willing to reveal anything about the movie, he does confirm Aamir’s presence in it. He also adds that shooting of the movie would begin next year.
The film will have Aamir working for the first time with the talented south Indian director Mani Ratnam .
Aamir, who is known for doing too few films, has recently been committing to many projects. His forthcoming movie Rang De Basanti will release early next year. He is presently committed to Kunal Kohli’s Fanaa and after that he will start shooting for Bobby Bedi’s comic movie.
But before all this, he would tie the knot with ladylove Kiran Rao in the beginning of the New Year.
