It all started with the revealing of cleavages and midriffs. Now, the tiny top that is supposed to be in between is being dropped too.

Year 2005 saw a few bold Bollywood babes taking the exposure a step further. Once again, the credit for stretching this sex quotient goes to Mallika Sherawat , Nigar Khan , Rakhi Sawant and Meghna Naidu – all the expected names.

After having shown all that she could in Bollywood movies, Mallika Sherawat, the sultry sex bomb, dropped her top for The Myth , her first international project. Although she had a marginal footage in the film, the Sherawat girl still left her customary mark in a topless scene with Jackie Chan.

Sadly for the viewers, the camera only captured her bareback. But the movie’s star, Jackie Chan, was not so unfortunate. And he couldn’t resist opening his eyes, despite his word to Mallika that he won’t see anything.

“I had told him to keep his eyes shut. But I think Jackie changed his mind and kept his eyes open. And he told me, ‘I am not gay, why should I close my eyes.’ He is a rogue,” Mallika had said in a press conference to promote the movie early this year.

But what Mallika did in ‘The Myth’ comes no way close to what Nigar Khan, did (or undid) this year.

After being deported from India early this year, Nigar suddenly shot to headlines in June when her bra came off while she was walking the ramp in a fashion show in Norway.

In the show in Oslo, Nigar was walking down the catwalk in her feline and slinky style when the top of her tiny two-piece dress came off suddenly. It took Nigar a few seconds to quickly put the top back on, but the shutterbugs did not lose those precious seconds and swiftly captured the moment in their cameras.

As if this was not enough, in the month of November, topless pictures of Nigar with Italian actor Luigi Cassandra appeared on the Internet. Nigar and Luigi worked together this year in an Italian film titled ‘Dita Smeralda’.

The pictures showed Nigar, naked on the top, on a beach with Luigi.

Meanwhile, in Bollywood movies, skin exposure moved a notch up this year.

Rakhi Sawant, the famous item girl, gave a bareback scene in the movie Khamosh early this year. The scene, which unluckily came under Censor scissors, showed a topless Rakhi taking a bath.

Later this year, Rakhi tried to bring some variety in her item numbers by donning more sensuous and imaginative dresses – like a kamasutra outfit and a coin top that makes clinking sound when Rakhi shakes her anatomical assets.

Meghna Naidu, another Bollywood siren, was seen this year in the skin flick Rain . Besides this, the hot babe also shot many bold scenes for her upcoming movie Bad Friend . In fact, Meghna claims that some of her shots in the movie would knock many off their chairs.

And there was also a small controversy when Meghna found herself digitally stripped in the promotional posters of ‘Bad Friend’. It turned out that Meghna’s clothes in the photos were intentionally morphed short to make them more eye-catching.

All in all, year 2005 saw the bold babes continuing to offer the titillation that many viewers ask for.
