HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD 'Rang De Basanti' in trouble 10th Jan 2006  20.47 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau   Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra ’s movie Rang De Basanti is facing certain objections from the Indian Air Force. Reports say the IAF has objected to the depiction of MIG fighter aircrafts in ‘poor light’ in the movie. In the film, actor Madhavan plays a pilot who dies in a MIG crash. The Russian-made MIG aircrafts constitute a major part of the IAF fleet. IAF has objected that certain portions in the movie show the aircrafts as “accident prone and vulnerable”. To clear the controversy, Defence Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee will be reviewing the movie and then he would express his views to the filmmaker. If the scenes are found objectionable, then Mehra may have to delete them from the movie, which means that the film may get postponed from its slated release date of January 20. The movie has already got the clearance from the Censor Board. ‘Rang De Basanti’ is a youth flick with a message. The movie stars Aamir Khan , British actress Alice Patten , Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan , Kunal Kapoor , Siddharth , Sharman Joshi , Atul Kulkarni and Kiron Kher .
