Lara Dutta has reportedly turned down the offer to play Priyanka Chopra ’s sister in a forthcoming movie.
Both Lara and Priyanka are former beauty queens who began their Bollywood careers around the same time. Today, while Priyanka has risen to greater heights in the tinsel town, Lara has been able to make her mark in few films only.
While there are no negative vibes between the two actresses, reports say Lara has refused the offer by filmmaker Dharmesh Darshan to play Priyanka’s sister in a film titled Aap Ki Khatir .
Date problems is cited as the official reason for Lara’s inability to do the movie, but rumour mills speculate there might be some insecurity on Lara’s part to act with Priyanka.
It may be recalled that Priyanka and Lara had acted together in Darshan’s movie Andaaz.
The director is now learnt to have roped in actress Amisha Patel in Lara’s place for ‘Aap Ki Khatir’.
