Having inherited acting genes from her illustrious mother Sharmila Tagore , Soha is gradually beginning to show her potential as an actress.
First, Soha gave a noteworthy performance full of subtle nuances in Rituparno Ghosh’s Bengali movie Antarmahal last year. Now, the director of forthcoming movie ‘Rang De Basanti’ is all praise for Soha’s talent.
Describing Soha as an “enchanting actress”, Mehra told a news agency that he did not have to think twice before finalizing Soha for the role of the young girl Sonia in ‘Rang De Basanti’.
“When she (Soha) came in front of the camera it took me merely 30 seconds to take the decision that she was my Sonia in the film,” Mehra is quoted as saying.
In fact, Mehra is so happy with Soha’s work in the film that he is now looking forward to sign her in his next project as well.
In ‘Rang De Basanti’, Soha is paired with actor Madhavan . She plays Sonia, a die-hard optimist and a traditional Indian beauty who is both well traveled and well read. Her character is an idealist who feels passionately about issues relating to youth.
