Reason? Starting current week (third), the movie has been awarded a 'Tax Free' status in Delhi cinemas. 
The movie has already been doing great business in the city and the cut in ticket costs should only help its run further. With Delhi taking the lead, other states may also follow suit because that is surely going to get the movie a hit status in the single screen theatres as well. Meanwhile, while its record first week was any indication, Rang De Basanti’s second week has further consolidated the movie's position with a successful run. Reports are that at the PVR chain of theatres, its northern belt of screens (in Delhi NCR) Rang De Basanti has been fetching record breaking collections for the movie with the second week beating the collections of last year's second biggest success Bunty Aur Babli . The way Rang De Basanti is progressing with no major competition in sight in coming weeks, the movie is definitely en route to be a 40 crore success!
