Priyanka approached for 'Qurbani' remake 15th Feb 2006

Filmmaker Feroz Khan has reportedly approached Priyanka Chopra to play the female lead in his ‘Qurbani’ remake.
Just a few days back we reported about senior actor-director Feroz Khan’s decision to remake his 1980 superhit movie Qurbani .
Fardeen Khan has already been confirmed to play the role enacted by Feroz Khan in the original while Saif Ali Khan has been finalized to play the part enacted by Vinod Khanna .
To play the love interest of the two heroes in the movie, the senior Khan is now learnt to have approached Priyanka Chopra. The role of sexy club dancer Sheela was played by Zeenat Aman in the original movie.
There has still not been any formal confirmation whether Priyanka has given her nod to the project.
Meanwhile, Feroz Khan himself would play the cop’s role in the movie’s remake. The original had Amjad Khan playing the unflinching cop with an eccentric sense of humour.
As learnt, while the story of the movie would remain the same, its setting would change. Feroz Khan is planning to start shooting the movie soon.
It is still not known who the music director of the movie would be. One of the strong points of the original was its music Kalyanji Anandji.
