It is a well known fact that Aamir Khan does not attend any awards functions even though he is nominated or not nominated any category whatsoever.
But Filmfare used a picture of Aamir to promote its annual award ceremony that was held Saturday night.
Aamir was nominated in the Best Actor category for his historical ‘Mangal Pandey – The Rising this year.
So, Filmfare used Aamir’s picture in an advertisement just like it was using other actors’ pictures too.
But Aamir sued Filmfare for Rs.210 million for showing him as wanting to get the "Lady in Black" - a reference to the award trophy, television reports said.
The Filmfare awards ceremony was held in Mumbai on Saturday night and Amitabh Bachchan won the Best Actor award for Black .
