Even as his latest movie Maalamal Weekly is running in its first week at the theatres, filmmaker Priyadarshan has moved on to his next project.
The movie, as we reported a few days back, is titled Bhagam Bhaag , which can be roughly translated as ‘to run amok’ or ‘a frenzied rush’.
Akshay Kumar , Govinda , Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal will be the key players in the film. Akki, Sunil and Paresh are Priyan’s favorites and they starred in his Hera-Pheri , arguably the best comedy Priyan has made till day.
Lara Dutta and Tanushree Dutta will be the two heroines of ‘Bhagam Bhaag’. While Lara has shown her talent for humour in the last year’s hit No Entry , Tanushree still has to show her flair at tickling the funny bone.
Much in conformation to his style, Priyadarshan is attempting a novel story in ‘Bhagam Bhaag’. The movie will be an out-and-out comedy about actors from an Indian theatrical group that goes to London for stage performances.
Govinda is the play’s hero and Akshay is the villain. The play goes topsy-turvy after its heroine walks out, leaving the owner of the repertory (Paresh Rawal) high and dry. Comedy arises when the trio begin searching for a new heroine.
The movie went on floors on March 13.
Priyadarshan says ‘Bhagam Bhaag’ will be his last comedy for a while. The movie is being jointly produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. and K. Sera Sera.
