In the season of remakes in Bollywood, there is one film superstar Amitabh Bachchan wishes to work in.
With Black sweeping the boards at that award functions and Mr. Bachchan winning the Best Actor trophies and statuettes, there is still a lingering desire among many movie buffs to see Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the Big B work together again.
Although that may not happen in the immediate future, Bachchan has expressed his wish to work with the talented filmmaker again.
“I'd love to work with Bhansali again. I'd love to have him remake Guru Dutt's "Kagaz Ke Phool" with me,” Bachchan is quoted by IANS.
However, Bhansali, on the other hand, would be introducing fresh faces in his next movie Saanvariya .
The movie would introduce Ranbir Kapoor (Rishi and Neetu Singh’s son) and Sonam Kapoor (Anil Kapoor’s daughter).
And Bhansali’s rationale for working with newcomers is: “I need to go beyond the stars, to rediscover my own innocence, with the help of new talent. Saanvariya is about innocent love. I needed to be adventurous with my cast.”
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is ready to step back under the arc lamps once again. He will start shooting for Karan Johar’s film, his make-up man’s Bhojpuri film and Yash Raj’s Babul in the coming days and weeks.
Mr. Bachchan still has to give his nod to Deepa Mehta who wants him for her movie ‘Komagata Maru’.
