Just like actor Aamir Khan’s latest release Rang De Basanti , Milan Luthria’s Taxi Number 9211 defies the Bollywood stereotype.
While RDB is heading on to become one of the top grossers in the recent years, ‘Taxi No 9211’ has got rave reviews from critics and has caught the fancy of movie buffs as well. In fact, the film’s screenplay has been included in the Oscar library.
An unconventional movie, ‘Taxi’ explores the male-male bond without venturing into any romantic territory. It is about a day in the life of two men (played by Nana Patekar and John Abraham ) who come from entirely different walks of life.
Aamir Khan who has a liking for anything out of the ordinary recently saw the movie at a theatre.
After the show, the Khan looked impressed with the movie and said what stood out the most in the film was that both male characters had negative shades.
The movie’s director Milan Luthria is already very enthused by the response his film has got at the box-office. He is presently working on two scripts for two different projects, one of which would star Sanjay Dutt in the lead role.
