HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Namaste London – Bollywood meets Britain23rd Mar 2006 22.28 IST By Aparajita Ghosh A coterie of Indian and British actors would come together for an Indo-British project to be made by a Bollywood filmmaker. So far we have seen British actresses like Sophie Dahl , Antonia Bernath , Annabelle Wallace and Alice Patten acting in Bollywood. Now, filmmaker Vipul Shah is set to make a movie that not only has a story that relates to Indians and Britons in the UK, but it also brings together actors and technicians from more than two countries. 
As learnt, the project is aptly titled Namaste London . The movie will star Akshay Kumar , Katrina Kaif , Rishi Kapoor along with six British actors. It will also have a Pakistani actor, Javed Shaikh. ‘Namaste London’ will deal with a very contemporary topic that is relevant to both Britons and NRIs living in the country. It is also learnt that the movie will have three directors of photography, one of which would be the famous director Dariusz Wolski, the polish cinematographer who has worked on important Hollywood projects like ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ and is presently busy with the latest movie ‘Dead Man’s Chest’ in the Pirates series. He has also made more than 100 music videos. ‘Namaste London’ will be made at an estimated budget of 25 crores. The film will be shot in London for a 2-month period starting July this year. ‘Namaste London’ would also be the second or third film to bring together Akshay and Katrina on the big screen. The two would be seen romancing together in the soon-to-be-released movie Humko Deewana Kar Gaye . They have also signed Anees Bazmee’s next comedy titled Welcome .
