After a weekend of media speculation about the state of his health, Bachchan put all rumours to rest by arriving on the sets at 3.20 pm on Monday. 
Clad in a white kurta-pyjama, he stepped out of his Lexus and walked straight to his vanity van, seemingly oblivious to the posse of shutterbugs. The star, who had resumed shooting a week ago after a two-month hiatus following abdominal surgery, was slated to leave for Kolkata on Saturday but cancelled the trip at the last minute citing health problems. Bachchan, however, resumed shooting for the last leg of "Babul" at Filmcity studios in Andheri on Monday afternoon. "He has been shooting continuously for the past five days for Karan Johar 's film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and also for his make-up man Deepak Sawant's Bhojpuri film "Ganga", a source on the sets of "Ganga" said. "Obviously, he has suffered from exhaustion. It is nothing serious but he wanted to take rest", the source added. However, Bachchan's family doctor Jayant Barve denied any knowledge of the star's illness. He also denied knowledge of an impending surgery. Bachchan was hospitalised for more than 20 days after he was operated for Diverticulitis of small intestine on November 30 at Lilavati hospital in Mumbai. Bachchan's illness in November end last had caused uneasiness in Bollywood and TV industry where an estimated Rs 200-crore worth projects on the superstar were at stake.
