Katrina Kaif not allowed to meet Salman Khan

When you are languishing in jail and when your ladylove comes calling, it is one of the few things that make you smile.

But when Katrina Kaif went to meet Salman Khan in the Central Jail in Jodhpur, she wasn’t allowed to meet the Bollywood star by Jail Superintendent ML Chouhan.

And Katrina was not alone who wasn’t allowed to meet Salman. A steady stream of visitors continued for the second day but none was allowed by Chouhan.

One of Salman's NRI friends arrived and tried to call on him in jail but prison officials turned down his request.

But its not that Chouhan is dead against Salman. Reports are that Chouhan offered him a chocolate during the breakfast, a gesture that brought smile on the actor's face.

Salman shared his experience with Chouhan and told him that he was comfortable, the reports said.

Away from the lights, camera and action of Bollywood, the 40-year-old actor, who has been sentenced to five years imprisonment for killing an endangered animal, whiles away his time playing carom, talking to other jail inmates, reading magazines and newspapers.

A fitness fanatic, Salman is also spending over two hours in the morning having physical workout, jail sources said.

Salman does not get sound sleep and wakes early in the morning.

He offers namaz, does physical exercise and chats with his cell inmate Mahesh Chandra Sharma serving life imprisonment for murder. He takes some rest after lunch comprising chapatis, seasonal vegetables and daal.

After a court in Jodhpur on Wednesday deferred the hearing on his bail plea for Thursday, Salman's brother Sohail Khan and sister Alivera prayed at the dargah of sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer for the actor's release.

Some Bollywood personalities, including producers and directors, are likely to arrive in Jodhpur soon in a bid to meet him and express solidarity with the beleaguered actor.
