HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Ash and Abhishek shooting in South India20th Apr 2006 21.00 IST By Nikhil Kumar Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are nowadays busy shooting together for their second film in a row. After shooting at palaces and royal havelis of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh for J P Dutta’s Umrao Jaan , Ash and Abhi have now gotten busy with Mani Ratnam ’s film Guru which is said to be a historical based on the 1857 uprising. 
Ash and Abhi, whose ‘friendship’ has been much written about in media reports, began shooting for the film this week in the Bagalkot region of North Karnataka. This is the second schedule of the film. The first one was shot in Turkey. The Bagalkot region has historical sites like Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal. Apart from shooting the film, Ash and Abhi are also sightseeing the historical locations. As expected, thousands of fans are reported to have thronged the area just to have a glimpse of the two stars. Police has been deployed to provide security cover to the shooting team. Besides Ash and Abhi, ‘Guru’ also stars Madhavan . Ash and Abhi will also be seen in Dhoom 2 . However, they are not cast opposite each other in the film.
