HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD “I am like Tilo,” says Aishwarya29th Apr 2006 19.40 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai has said in a newspaper interview that she is very much a simple girl like the character Tilo she plays in her latest movie The Mistress Of Spices . She may not have the magical powers to heal through spices, like her character Tilo in ‘Mistress Of Spices’, but Aishwarya does admit there is a part of that character in her real self.
Mumbai-based DNA newspaper quotes Aishwarya as saying: “I believe there is a small part of every character inside each actor who portrays it. I'm really a simple girl at heart, like Tilo.” Sadly, the movie has failed to live upto the expectations and has been panned by critics in India and the UK. The film has Ash playing a woman who runs a spice store in San Francisco and prescribes remedies to people. Her world turns upside down when she falls in love with a stranger and comes to a point where she can lose her magical powers of healing. Talking about love, Ash told the newspaper that one has to be lucky to find true love in life. “If you are blessed in this lifetime, you'll find true love. There are many different levels of love, one can experience all or just one kind,” said the former Miss World. Ash is presently busy with Mani Ratnam’s project Guru . Her co-star in the film is Abhishek Bachchan with whom she has been romantically linked. Some latest rumours claim that the romance has now ended. Perhaps what she said about love is true.
