Sometimes numerological additions and deletions in a name bring more confusion than good luck.
Such was the case with actress Sushma Reddy who recently made numerological modifications in her name by dropping her last name and adding an extra ‘h’ and ‘a’ to her first name.
The result was Sushhama.
This led to a lot of confusion. Firstly, she was being addressed by different names in media reports. Some used her old name, others used Sushhama and still other called her Sushama.
On top of it, her friends started pronouncing her name in a different way, with the tongue-twisting sound of Sush-hama.
Frustrated with all the confusion, Sushhama has now decided to revert to her old name, Sushma.
Some other Bollywood stars who have changed their names for numerological reasons are: Vivek Oberoi who is now called Viveik Anand Oberoi, Ritesh Deshmukh who changed to Riteish Deshmukh, and Sunil Shetty who changed to Suniel Shetty.
Anyway, we still call them by their old names. After all, as the great English bard said: ‘What’s in a name’.
