Pradeep Sarkar , the director of Parineeta , is gearing up to make his next movie, a romantic flick.
During the making of ‘Parineeta’, Sarkar, who is a full-time ad filmmaker, had developed an enormous comfort level with the movie’s stars Saif Ali Khan and Vidya Balan .
And now that Sarkar is ready to embark on another celluloid venture, under the Yash Raj banner, he has roped in Saif and Vidya to play the key roles in the movie.
The movie will have two heroines. And since Sarkar says he has long harbored a deep desire to work with Rani Mukherjee , he has chosen her to play the female lead opposite Saif in the movie.
Describing the film, Sarkar told a tabloid that the basic story idea of the movie came from Aditya Chopra . Sarkar and Adi are developing the idea into a full-fledged movie and meticulously writing down every character.
“It is an intense, complicated emotional love story that explores the limitations and psychology of a few characters,” Sarkar is quoted in a Mid-Day report.
The film, yet untitled, will obviously be a big budget project.
The movie’s story will be set in a very urbane background. The story is said to be relevant to the contemporary times.
Sarkar is hoping to start shooting the film by this year-end.
Saif and Rani have previously paired in Kunal Kohli’s hit Hum Tum (in the pic).
