'No more stripping,' says Neha Dhupia

It seems Neha Dhupia has had her share of skin flicks.

Neha, who once stated flamboyantly that in Bollywood either sex or Shah Rukh sells, is now shunning sleazy roles for something more 'sensible'.

In the very beginning of her acting career, Neha, a former Miss India, raised the oomph quotient in Bollywood with her eye-popping, almost nude shots in films like Julie and Sheesha . The exposure certainly made her a hot property, but the long-lasting fame that comes from an acclaimed acting performance still eluded her.

So, despite all the cleavage revealing dresses, bare backs and bikinis, Neha could never boast of a single hit film to her name.

As the saying goes: If you fail at the same thing time and again, try something different.

That is what Neha seems determined to do now.

She has unambiguously made it clear that she won't do stripping in front of the camera anymore.

"No more stripping for me. I am a person who thrives on change and versatility in life. And so I'm going to do in films, too," Neha is quoted as saying.

Neha says she doesn't want to stagnate her career by sticking to only one particular genre and she is open to experimentation.

However, that doesn't mean that she is shedding the sexy, glamorous image. It is only that she won't wear those skimpy clothes that left little to people's imagination.

In her first few steps towards this image makeover, Neha is doing a number of films that will present her in a new, fully dressed avatar.

To begin with, the coming days will see the release of Priyadarshan's Chup Chup Ke in which she is playing the sister to Kareena Kapoor . It is possible that some of her old fans may not be able to recognize her in the proper traditional dresses like suits and ghagra cholis in the film. Now, that is not to say that the aforesaid outfits are not sexy.

And then, Neha is doing a love story called 'Ek Chalis Ki Local' in which she is paired with Abhay Deol . She might also play a role on the lines of the real life character of Jessica Lal in Kumar Sanu's film 'Utthan'.

Well, this is not a bad start for an image overhaul.
