Bipasha gets groovy with 'Phir Hera Pheri' gang

It is hard to keep the fun away when Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal are around.

When two of the best comedians of the Hindi film industry are at work, you can kiss your blues away. And when the movie they are working in happens to be none other than the sequel of the cult comedy that regaled all and sundry and still continues to entertain the viewers, laughter is guaranteed, no matter how much you resist.

This is precisely what happened with Bipasha Basu during the making of Phir Hera Pheri , the sequel to Priyadarshan’s hit Hera Pheri . Having not known both Akshay and Paresh Rawal before, Bipasha was a bit diffident in the beginning and kept her distance.

But, as the saying goes, humour is the shortest distance between two people.

So when Akshay and Paresh began cracking their jokes, Bipasha too joined in.

An IANS report quotes Bipasha as saying: "Initially, it was a problem when Akshay or Paresh cracked jokes, but once I got into the mood and started enjoying their jokes, it became a lot easier."

The movie also has Bipasha in an item song with Akshay. According to Bipasha, even this item number is hilarious.

"It (the movie) definitely is really funny. Even the songs in the film have comic timing,” Bipasha is quoted.

The story of ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ begins where ‘Hera Pheri’ ended.

Raju (Akshay), Shyam, ( Sunil Shetty ) and Baburao (Paresh Rawal) are rich but they don’t know what to do with their money. Raju has a ‘clever’ formula to double, even quadruple, this wealth. Unfortunately, this ‘clever’ idea to further riches only lands the three into more troubles.

The film has Bipasha Basu playing a mod girl named Anuradha. Rimi Sen plays a homely girl named Anjali.

‘Phir Hera Pheri’ is not directed by Priyadarshan . It is Neeraj Vora , the man who wrote dialogues for the original, who wields the megaphone.

The film will hit the theatres on June 9.
