The film is awaited at least by those who now wish to see Naseer’s talent behind the camera, in the director’s seat. It is the story of human relationships, of individual sufferings, regrets and longings. It is about love, trust and destiny. In a simplistic manner it tries to ask the same question that almost everyone asks himself or herself quite often – What if things had turned out otherwise?
Speaking about the movie’s unusual title, Naseer says: “It’s inspired from one couplet by Mirza Ghalib. In English, it can be roughly translated as ‘what if’.”
The film will be premiered at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) festival to be held in Dubai from June 14.
The movie’s producer Shabbir Boxwala says it is a story about different characters, their aspirations, their hopes and their dreams, which are so different from each other, but yet interconnected.
The movie will also introduce Naseer’s son, Imaad.
