No, the stars of Indian tinsel town aren’t headed to the Caribbean isles to cheer up the Indian cricket team. They are going there for a Bollywood show.
Earlier, even Karisma Kapoor was slated to be a part of the show. But she has dropped out due to poor health.
The show will feature live, on-stage performances by Bollywood stars and also the presentation of awards. The event has been organised by Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey's company, AIM India.
Bollywood veterans Rajesh Khanna and Zeenat Aman will be honoured for their outstanding contributions to Indian cinema at the event. Interestingly, the two stars are also acting in a forthcoming Bollywood movie.
As many as six thousand people are expected to attend the show, including some famous personalities from the Caribbean’s entertainment and business industries.
The last time West Indies saw such a huge Bollywood presence was about seven years ago when Shah Rukh Khan performed there.
