HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD IIFA goes to UK in 2007 18th June 2006  11.37 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau   London, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Amsterdam and Dubai, the IIFA Festival has taken Bollywood to as many as three continents in the last seven years. The Malaysians have gone frenzy over Indian filmstars, the South Africans have showered their adulations, the Dutch even named a tulip after Aishwarya Rai last year and this year’s IIFA has regaled and entertained the Bollywood fans in Dubai. Amitabh Bachchan , Aishwarya Rai , Preity Zinta , Abhishek Bachchan , Fardeen Khan , Feroz Khan , Ayesha Takia , Karan Johar , Shilpa Shetty , Anil Kapoor , Naseeruddin Shah and many more Bollywood stars descended on Dubai for the recently concluded seventh IIFA Fest. And the next year, IIFA goes to UK. Yes, the event’s organizers are learnt have announced that the eighth IIFA will be held in Yorkshire. It may be recalled that the very inaugural IIFA was held at London's Millennium Dome in 2000. So the next year will be the second time the annual extravaganza will be traveling to the UK. IIFA in the UK will be some event to watch, considering the fact that Bollywood films fare very well at the UK box-office. Even some of the films that have done poorly at home have gone on to rake in decent earnings in the UK.
