It is a film based on a real life incident. And it will feature as many as eight famous actors from Hindi cinema.
Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta is ready to produce five films. Out of these five, Gupta himself will direct only one. He will also direct three episodes of a ten-part movie titled Dus Kahaniyan.
One of the five productions will be Shootout At Lokhandwala , which is based on the real life encounter between police and gangsters in the Lokhandwala Complex in Mumbai in the summer of 1991.
The film tells the story of five gangsters who have with them Rs 70 lakh when they are surrounded by a large police force. A long gun-battle follows.
The movie’s announcement was made at the recently concluded IIFA festival in Dubai.
‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’ will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia whose last film Ek Ajnabee was a turkey at the box-office.
