Reports have it that Peter Field, who has worked for films like ‘Troy’, ‘The Da Vinci Code’, ‘Tomb Raider’ and ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’, will be the director of photography for Indian filmmaker Vipul Shah’s ambitious project titled Namaste London .
The film, a Rs 30-crore venture, stars Akshay, Katrina, Upen Patel and Rishi Kapoor . The movie’s story will be set in London and its director Vipul Shah wants to capture the metropolis in a very different way.
An agency report quotes Vipul Shah as saying: “We wanted to shoot London very differently and not the way it has been shown till now in Indian films. London as a city and its life is one of the primary elements in the film and we will be exploring it through camera. A westerner (Peter Field) would automatically see the city very differently and bring fresh sensibilities.”
In the past, Shah has directed films like Aankhen and Waqt .
Shah says ‘Namaste London’ is a very big project and he will loosen the purse strings to ensure best possible quality of cinematography in the film.
