What makes the Roshans click?

Is it a coincidence that whenever the father-son duo of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan come together, the movie is a guaranteed success?

Hrithik’s acting career began with Kaho Na Pyar Hai , a superhit movie directed by his dad Rakesh Roshan. Then there was a lean patch in the actor’s career with the sole exception of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham , which was a multi-starrer. The lull in Hrithik’s career broke with Koi Mil Gaya , another superhit directed by papa Roshan.

And now comes Krrish . Going by the crowds that the movie is pulling to the cine theatres and the huge advance booking of tickets, it looks almost certain that another hit film is in the offing.

So what is it with Hrithik and papa Roshan that whenever the two come together, success is theirs to claim?

Hrithik says in an interview that his father, as a director, takes the best out of him.

"If it is said that Dad takes the best out of me because I am his son, then all directors should treat their actors as their own children," Hrithik said.

Rakesh Roshan says he and Hrithik work hand in hand during the shooting and Hrithik keeps giving his suggestions.

“Hrithik is getting better with every film. He has a knack of getting into the skin of his characters. He's also a tremendous support on the sets. We work hand in hand during the shooting. An outside hero cannot provide the same inputs because his contribution will then be seen as interference. I do accept Hrithik's suggestions. But we don't argue on the sets at all,” a report quotes Rakesh Roshan as saying.

‘Krrish’ releases worldwide on June 23.
