Bollywood’s Perizaad Zorabian is most likely to act in a film exploring homosexuality between two females.
The film, titled ‘When Kiran Met Karen’, will be the story of a sexual, romantic relationship between an Indian and a Chinese woman. The film’s story will be set in New York.
If Perizaad agrees to the role, she will play an Indian woman, named Kiran, settled in New York. Another actress is being sought to play the Chinese woman, Karen.
In the film, the two women discover an alternate side to their personality after they are drawn towards each other. The two also suffer dilemmas and inner conflicts for indulging in something that is seen as taboo by many in the society.
New-Jersey based filmmaker Manan Katohora will direct the movie.
Manan is said to be inspired from Ang Lee’s Oscar nominated ‘Brokeback Mountain’.
