Mallika Sherawat woos Rahul Bose

The naughty, sex siren of Bollywood is teaming up with the sober boy of the art cinema.

The romantic mismatch between Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose will happen in Pritish Nandy Communications’ film Pyar Ke Side Effects .

The movie, being described as a “clever, witty and subversive” romantic comedy by Nandy, tells the story of two very unlikely people falling in love.

The film has Rahul Bose playing a disc jockey. Mallika plays an extrovert, outspoken girl who has a crush on Rahul. Interestingly, it is Mallika who woos Rahul, rather than the other way round.

There is a scene in the movie in which Mallika also bends on her knees and proposes Rahul for marriage.

Speaking on the pairing of Rahul and Mallika, Pritish Nandy says: “They make the most enchanting twosome – mismatched, combative and very special.”

Rahul Bose has said in an interview that ‘Pyar Ke Side Effects’ takes a very fresh look at youthful romance. Unlike other love stories, it is the girl who takes the initiative and makes amorous advances to the guy.

Rahul said Mallika is “one of the most chilled out actresses” he has worked with so far.

“Quite opposite to her onscreen image, Mallika is a simple girl without any pretensions of a filmstar,” Rahul is quoted to have said.

‘Pyar Ke Side Effects’ is directed by Saket Chaudhary. The film is slated to hit the theatres in August.
