Arshad Warsi and Minissha Lamba are paired together in this Friday’s release Anthony Kaun Hai . Although Arshad is an established actor and Minissha a relative newcomer, the two gelled very well while shooting for the film.
Arshad kept cracking jokes to Minissha every now and then on the sets and kept the atmosphere light for the young girl. But there was a scene in which both Arshad and Minissha’s patience was tested to the hilt. It was a song sequence for the track Tune Mera Chain Wain. The song shows Arshad and Minissha standing on a sandbank surrounded by water. But the two stars were stuck on the sandbank for 4 hours because they were waiting for the water level to rise and for the sunlight to be adequate for the shot to be taken. They could not even sit because their costumes would get wet. They could not have a chair because the shot was to be taken from a boat. So for 4 hours, Arshad and Minissha stood waiting for the right conditions for the shot. To while away the time, it was Minissha who tried to crack some humour to Arshad. She told him what she calls “worst possible jokes”. And Arshad, showing his characteristic courtesy to females, passed a fleeting grin now and then. In ‘Anthony Kaun Hai’, Arshad plays a conman who makes forged passports and identity cards. Minissha plays a girl who has a big secret to keep.
