Priyanka Chopra – India Style Diva of the year

Priyanka Chopra has beaten Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu for the title of India Style Diva for the year 2006 in an online poll.

In an online poll by Ebay India through June and July, the two million strong eBay India community chose Priyanka as the unanimous winner and Style Diva.

The other nominees of the Style Diva contest were Bollywood beauties – Kareena and Bipasha.

"I am thrilled that so many people chose me as the eBay Style Diva. I would like to thank my fans for their support. I have personally used eBay in the past and find it extremely easy, fast and convenient to shop," Priyanka is reported to have said.

Priyanka’s next release Aap Ki Khatir is scheduled to release on August 25, 2006.

Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Prakash Jaju, former secretary to Priyanka.

Jaju will have to be released in the event of arrest on furnishing bail of Rs 15,000, Justice R S Mohite ordered on Thursday. He will also have to report to police station whenever required till the probe is over.

Jaju sought anticipatory bail first from the sessions court, fearing arrest after Priyanka's father lodged a police complaint in May alleging that Jaju was threatening her and her family over a dispute regarding his fees.

Priyanka's father also alleged that Jaju sent her vulgar SMSs.

Sessions judge had rejected his application, after which he moved the High Court.

Jaju has put up a claim of over Rs one crore on Priyanka and her family saying he had entered into an agreement with them to promote the actor but they had refused to pay the money to him.
