HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD 'Guru' to hit the theatres in Christmas week 30th Aug 2006  18.30 IST By ApunKaChoice   Bollywood brings a Christmas gift for all the cine lovers with Mani Ratnam’s much awaited flick Guru . This Christmas, Bollywood’s most talked about jodi of dashing Abhishek Bachchan and gorgeous Aishwarya Rai will be setting the screen ablaze once again. Ash and Abhishek were earlier paired in Kuch Naa Kaho and will also be seen in J. P. Dutta ‘s Umrao Jaan . ‘Guru’ is a love story set in the 60’s. It is learnt that the film has Abhi playing a character older than his real age. Abhi was even asked to put on weight for his part. Besides Aishwarya and Abhishek, the flick also stars Mithun Chakraborty , Madhavhan , Vidya Balan and Mallika Sherawat (in a cameo). The lyrics are written by Gulzar and the music is composed by Mani’s all-time favourite A R Rahman . The film will be seen as the grand finale for a year that saw some of the biggest hits - Rang De Basanti , Fanaa , Krrish , Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and also the critically acclaimed Omkara .
